Rendez-vous at the Cathedral Contemplations

After a successful 2025 edition of the new spectacle casting magical and enchanting lights on the monument, the Contemplations show is coming back for 2026. Taking you on a visual journey, the immersive mapping is inspired by the lush and colorful world of Alain Thomas. As a major Naïve-Primitive artist from Nantes, Alain Thomas invites us to immerse ourselves in his lush landscapes, where nature flourishes in an explosion of shapes and colors.

This luminous and tropical creation will adorn Bayeux Cathedral with a fresco animated by plant and animal elements, brought to life by the expertise of Les Spectaculaires and their Allumeurs d’Images. The projections will rise to the monument's spire, before descending to the chevet, enhancing every curve and detail of the building's architecture.

Already applauded by the numerous spectators in 2025, this version certainly amazes, blending dream and nature in perfect harmony. The show will open its doors again on July 14, 2026, thus offering a renewed visual experience, both technical and poetic, where light becomes a storyteller and the cathedral a living canvas.

 In 2025, this new show had attracted more than 50,000 spectators, and there is no doubt that everyone is already eagerly awaiting this monumental installation!
