Port-en-Bessin-Huppain is Normandy's leading small-scale fishing port and is particularly famous for its scallops. Every year, the festival Le Goût du Large is a weekend-long celebration of scallops and seafood. The harbour town can also be explored on guided tours offered by the Léopold Sédar Senghor cultural centre, and on fishing trips organised by the tourist office. Boaters are very welcome. There is a pontoon for them from April to October and the tourist office has a reception area with toilets, showers and a dining area.
