Situated at the heart of the D-Day landing beaches on the Gold Beach sector, Arromanches-les-Bains is now a world-famous village thanks to the remains of the famous Winston Churchill artificial harbour, code-named Mulberry B. Every 6 June, the town commemorates the Normandy landings with great pomp and ceremony. Nestling between two cliffs, it is also a lively seaside resort with a lovely sandy beach.
