Port-en-Bessin is Normandy's number one small-scale fishing port. Each year it celebrates scallops, its hallmark seafood. Le Goût du Large is an annual event with a chance to immerse yourself for a weekend in local maritime traditions through a wide range of events on the quayside.
Visitors can enjoy the lively quayside throughout the weekend, special scallops menus in the port restaurants, old sailing ships in the harbour and activities for adults and children. The "Goût du Large" event also features "Musique sous les embruns", a music festival with a maritime inspiration. The artists are back under the big top set up on Place Seurat for 4 concerts and a show combining dance and Irish music.
