Each year, Bayeux's inhabitants celebrate a well-preserved heritage during the medieval festival! A chance for visitors to explore the town with a trip to the medieval market and building site, games of yesteryear and a wide range of street entertainment.

From 5 au 7 July, the Medieval festival will be setting Bayeux alight! Jugglers, craftsmen, dragon trainers and tavern-keepers will be coming together for a frenzied programme...

A not-to-be-missed event, and one of the biggest of its kind in France, the grand medieval parade will once again be opening the festivities. This year's theme will once again be night-time. Fire-eaters, jugglers and fantastic creatures promise an explosive start to the festivities!
Other highlights of the weekend include the fire show scheduled for Saturday evening in the gardens of the Hôtel du Doyen: the Zoolians company, a mysterious brotherhood, will be performing their mystical ritual at nightfall to the sound of hypnotic percussion...

Alongside the companies, the re-enactors and master craftsmen, set up in the courtyard of the Hôtel du Doyen and on the Place de Gaulle, will be reviving the history of the crafts: glassmakers, blacksmiths, potters, candle makers and foundrymen will all be gathered around the fire to create, before our very eyes, the very best of the traditional crafts.
